Jenny Fletcher

CO-FOUNDER AND CEO

Jenny is passionate about making a difference. She is a successful entrepreneur who has built a wide range of successful businesses in the profit and non-profit sectors in Africa, Europe, America, and Asia. She has managed budgets over $300 million across 32 countries and realized debt/equity financing for projects over $500 million.

Jenny is a Chartered Accountant, holds a bachelor’s in finance administration from UNE and a Master of Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK.

Troy Barrie

CO-FOUNDER AND CTO

Troy has broad experience in energy storage and renewable energy integration. As a registered Professional Engineer, he has global expertise in manufacturing, commercial product deployment, and customer relations, spanning energy storage, smart controllers, and distributed generation as a means of ensuring utility power quality. He has implemented complex systems across various countries in North America, Africa, and Asia.

Troy holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, Engineering Physics from the University of British Columbia, Canada. It can be hard to find Troy outside of the office, but you might be able to spot him cycling through Africa’s wildlands, enjoying the biodiversity, and learning about local cultures.

Arshad Akber

TANZANIA COUNTRY MANAGER

Arshad is experienced in the field of logistics, supply chain and operations management, with a particular focus in international clearing and forwarding. He has hands on experience with importation and exportation of cargo worldwide using various means of transport. He is also well versed in the field of Oil & Gas and Mining to deliver various logistics requirements by the clients. Further expertise in the utilization of ICT to improve efficiency in the provision of service and project development.

Duncan Mbogo

FINANCE DIRECTOR

Duncan has eight years of experience in financial management and administration with firms that focus on financial consulting and the energy sector. His expertise covers the design and management of detailed economic models, consolidation of financial reports, financial analysis, cashflow management, and human resource management.

Duncan holds a BA in Economics from Moi University, Kenya. In his spare time, Duncan is an enthusiastic bird watcher, or you can find him running his favorite trails outside Nairobi.

Julie Kusimba

LEGAL OFFICER

Julie is a versatile and accomplished litigation and commercial advocate with a background in corporate governance, administration, civil and criminal law. She has a consistent track record of delivering services that enhance the company’s purpose and profitability.

She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and holds a Bachelor of Law and a Master of Law, International Corporate Law from the University of Leeds, UK. Julie is passionate about empowering her community and is often found encouraging and motivating young students. She has a special interest in giving back to her high school.

Eric Butime

UGANDA COUNTRY MANAGER

Butime is a Power Systems Engineer with a background in grid installations and maintenance, network investment planning and regulation, and is a certified Energy Manager. He has a MBA with project management proficiency and brings knowledge of the Ugandan electricity landscape with an eye on business development in the C&I Solar and Power Stabilisation space.
