OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE
Operations and Maintenance Services
Your System Works as Designed!
Meet your energy production targets throughout your solar system’s operational life.
Ariya Finergy operates and maintains our client’s solar PV system, storage and power stabilization equipment to enable optimal energy production from the systems. We also provide training on all the equipment, safe shutdown procedures, and module washing routines which enable our client’s system to continue performing optimally.
Performance Reporting
The Ariya Finergy team remotely monitors all of our sites and preempts possible system faults with our proprietary Vision Controller, a game changer for predictive maintenance! This IoT system gives all of our clients access to the online Vision Portal, where they can track their system performance in real-time and generate reports. The sample graph shows system performance:
- Self-sufficiency (%)
- Performance ratio (%)
- Solar generation (kWh)
- Total site load (kWh)
- Reduced CO2 emissions
- Yield (kWh)

Ariya Finergy’s experienced O&M team ensures the correct functioning of the installed equipment in compliance with the technical standards set by the EPRA, including the specifications. We also diligently uphold the operations and maintenance manual and good industry practice. Where the equipment is not functioning as expected, our O&M team will provide the client with prompt remedial measures based on the following criteria:
Low Generation Faults
These faults are typically attended to within 3-7 days from time of occurrence depending on severity of fault.
Zero Generation Faults
These types of faults are treated as high priority and are attended to within 3-24 hours from the time of occurrence.
Reduced Generation Faults
These faults are attended to within 7-21 days from their time of occurrence.

FAQ
Operations & Maintenance: frequently asked questions
What does an O&M agreement cover?
24/7 remote performance monitoring, scheduled servicing, panel cleaning, inverter and battery checks, predictive maintenance, fault diagnosis and rapid on-site response across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
How often does a solar PV system need maintenance?
Industrial solar PV typically gets 2 to 4 scheduled site visits a year for cleaning and inspection, plus continuous remote monitoring. Battery and power-stabilisation hardware needs more frequent firmware checks and condition monitoring.
Do you provide 24/7 monitoring?
Yes. Every Ariya installation is connected to our central monitoring platform with 24/7 alerting on performance, faults and anomalies, plus year-round on-site support across our operating countries.
What happens if my system breaks down?
When monitoring detects a fault we dispatch an engineer, with response times set by your service-level agreement. Most issues are diagnosed remotely first, and major component faults are covered under the manufacturer warranty.
Do you maintain systems you did not install?
Yes. We can take over O&M for existing third-party installations, starting with a system audit, a performance baseline and a remediation plan if one is needed.
How long does an O&M contract last?
Agreements are typically aligned to the 25-year design life of solar PV. Most clients sign an initial multi-year contract and renew it.
