Ariya Finergy is proud to lead the way in introducing groundbreaking solar thermal technology to East Africa. In collaboration with Absolicon, a global leader in solar thermal systems, we successfully delivered a 330m² solar thermal field to Iberafrica Power. This milestone marks the first-ever installation of its kind in the region, underscoring our commitment to driving clean, cost-effective energy solutions for industrial clients.

Iberafrica Power, one of Kenya’s most established Independent Power Producers (IPPs) with a total generation capacity of 52.5 MW, partnered with Ariya Finergy as part of its strategic climate action plan and ongoing operational efficiency improvements. Recognizing the rising importance of sustainable energy in industrial processes, Iberafrica chose to integrate solar heat into its operations to reduce fossil fuel dependence and lower greenhouse gas emissions, while also cutting operating costs. 

To meet Iberafrica’s process heating needs, Ariya Finergy deployed Absolicon’s T160 solar thermal collectors — a technology renowned globally for its high efficiency and ability to deliver industrial-grade heat. These collectors harness the sun’s energy to provide consistent and reliable thermal energy for the power plant’s processes, significantly reducing fuel consumption and operational costs. These pipes provide 60-80% savings from poor installation per year.

With this pioneering solution, Ariya Finergy demonstrates the viability and scalability of solar thermal technology in meeting the region’s growing demand for clean, affordable, and industrial-strength energy.
